update........ Launch of new Allocations
& CBL Benchmarking service Developed by acclaim and sponsored by the London
Borough of Newham, councils across London have participated in the new
Allocations and Choice Based Lettings benchmarking service. Homelessness & Housing
Advice Services Acclaim’s Homelessness & Housing Advice
Benchmarking Service enables local authorities to identify and compare
the cost, resource, and performance profile of their services against one
another on a like for like basis and understand how this relates to
service quality. Almost half of
all London Borough’s have participated in the service to date. Working with Shelter we have also recently developed
an innovative new Homelessness & Housing Advice Review Service.
Drawing upon Shelter’s extensive expertise of completing Quality Review
work (in over 70 local authorities) and combining this with benchmarking
means that this service provides participating authorities with an integrated,
independent view of the quality, performance, cost and resource profile
